Time is running out - The tax man cometh! Your self assessment papers need to be with the tax office by 31 January 2011. I provided my tax paperwork to my accountant and he was delighted with the way I presented them to him and wished all his other clients were the same. Tonight is Twelfth Night when all Christmas Decorations should be removed so as not to bring bad luck upon the home. If decorations are not removed on Twelfth Night, they should stay up all year. This does not mean though that if you have any paperwork that resembles Christmas decorations that these can stay where they are all year! Today is the beginning of the New Year and the time to make New Year resolutions. A good way of making resolutions is by taking a look back at what you have done and make resolutions based on this. Do you want to go back to the grindstone? No?

It's the Winter Solstice – bringing the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Worldwide, interpretation of the event has varied from culture to culture such a recognition of rebirth, involving holidays, festivals and gatherings.
