Make the most of your snow days!

Remember, remember the fifth of November ...
Today sees people light huge bonfires and let off magnificent fireworks throughout England, towns and villages.... to celebrate Guy Fawkes/Bonfire Night.
It might be tempting on this day to see your paperwork looking like an unlit bonfire ... but wait ... help is at hand! Filing is one of my specialities - turning "unlit bonfires" into working systems. Go on put down the matches and get in touch. Then go outside and enjoy the spectacles of Bonfire Night!

Don’t have a “boo” moment when the clocks go back!
So remember clocks go back at 2am on Sunday 31 October and Happy Halloween!
Did you know we've been changing our clocks forwards and backwards in the UK since 1916. A builder from Kent called William Willett first proposed the idea of British Summer Time in 1907 in a pamphlet entitled 'The Waste of Daylight'. Willett had noticed that the summer mornings light was wasted while people slept, and that the time would be better utilised in the afternoon by putting the clocks forward.

Do you need a holiday?
Wednesday, 28 July 2010
Do you have that sinking feeling around celebration time?
- Do you tell people you are out celebrating so you can spend the day in doors without interruptions and do that filing?
- Do you end up putting the paperwork in the box you got your present in to make it go away?
- Do you end up making last minute phone calls for DJs, cakes, etc since you cant find that number you were given ...?
- Do you suddenly find that particular friend’s telephone number the day after the party since you couldn’t find it earlier?
If you say yes to these or any other similar questions then do not panic anymore. I can help. I offer hourly rates and also a FREE 30 minute visit during which time we can discuss your needs – be it just a case of simply sorting out your household filing or whether this goes deeper and you have a small home business (whatever that may be it all involves paperwork – even paperless offices do that!)
I am enjoying an early finish to my work week. I am able to take time out to celebrate my birthday since my paperwork is all sorted and I can rest assured that everything that should have been dealt with has been - and if not it is in my “in tray” for my return. Just think with my help for just a few hours you would also be able to make decisions to take time off to celebrate your special days – and enjoy the summer days ahead (being they dry or liquid sunshine filled days)

St Swithin's Day - Rain or Shine - dont ignore that paperwork
•Rain on St. Swithin's day 'blesses and christens the apples'.
•No apple should picked or eaten before July 15th.
•Apples still growing at St Swithin's day will ripen fully.
But whatever the weather lots of people put work to one side saying they will do it on a rainy day ... but even when we have rainy days its hard to do those jobs. So why not let someone do it for you ...
- If you find you are constantly searching for your car papers whenever its insurance or MOT time
- Unable to find THAT receipt
- Just need that one day to make a dent in all that paperwork
Then struggle no more give me a call. I offer hourly rates and reduced rates for contracts or retainers. So whether you want me for just a few hours, a day, a week ... I can help you to get on top of that paperwork.
Then whether it is a rainy day or a sunny day - the day is your own to do what you want without having to close your eyes as you pass that pile of papers looking longingly at you ...

The Chinese calendar is unlike any that is used in the United Kingdom. It is made up of a cycle of twelve years, each of these years being named after an animal. This is very much like our signs of the zodiac. Various individuals think that people born in a particular year, such as the year of the Dog, will have some of the personalities of that animal. Look at Wikipedia if you want to know about your Chinese year. Over sixty percent of people in the world celebrate Chinese New Year. Customs differ in various parts of the world, but everywhere the basic idea is somewhat similar. It is a time to remember the family and wish everyone serenity and prosperity in the coming year.
